Luis Moya is Founder and Managing Director of PermianCapital. Mr. Moya founded PermianCapital in January 2010. Prior to forming PermianCapital, Mr. Moya was Chief Financial Officer of Pacesetter Energy, LLC and held positions of increasing responsibility in the corporate finance departments of Meridian Resource Corporation (NYSE: TMR) and Halliburton (HAL). Mr. Moya began his career in the Energy Practice of Price Waterhouse LLP's Houston office. Mr. Moya earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees with Honors from the Business School at the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Moya is an expert in taking business plans from concept to cash flow. He has originated and/or managed acquisitions, divestitures, and financings well in excess of $1 billion, spanning the entire capital structure of corporations and limited liability companies:
- Senior debt
- Mezzanine debt
- Second liens with PIK facilities
- Joint venture capital
- Equipment leases
- Asset based loans
- Structured finance
- Hybrid financings
- Convertible preferred equity in a public company
- Common equity in a public company
- Private equity with a preferred return from private equity funds
Outside of oil & gas finance and investments, Mr. Moya enjoys the visual arts, international travel, and spending quality time with his family. He has produced fine art photography for over 25 years and has exhibited his photographs internationally.
